Video Synchronisers
These Video Synchroniser units allow colour and/or monochrome video cameras in different locations, where IRIG is present, to be locked together; in the case of the VME board, without the need for a common sync generator and intercabling
Model 6140 Stand Alone GPS/IRIG B Video Synchroniser
The Model 6140 is a stand-alone unit designed to synchronise color and/or monochrome video cameras to GPS time or IRIG B serial time code. All cameras genlocked to like units will be precisely synchronised. It consists of a twelve-channel GPS receiver, the output of which is used to synchronise an IRIG B time code generator. The IRIG B signal is then used to drive the color and monochrome video sync generators.
The 6140 is powered by 9 to 36 Volts DC and includes an active magnetic mount GPS antenna. The Model 6140R is a rack-mount version.
Model 6040A VMEbus IRIG/RS-170 Video Synchroniser
The ITS Model 6040A generates an RS-170 video sync frame which is synchronised with an applied IRIG B time code signal. The unit allows cameras in different locations, where IRIG is present, to be locked together without the need for a common sync generator and intercabling. All cameras driven by 6040A's via a common IRIG B signal will be precisely synchronised.
The 6040A plugs into a single 6U VME slot and requires only the standard VME power and an IRIG B time signal to generate the RS-170 sync frame.
